AIBU to ask one of you to tell me the ending to a film I could not stand to finish watching (**spoilers - hopefully**)

Last night I started to watch “Honeydew”. I should have realised I would not be able to watch to the end. But I picked it quickly and was “taken in” by the 15 certificate I think (I never choose 18 horror films as I know I won’t be able to stomach them). Anyway I stopped watching about 20 mins from the end, just after they got the woman out of the box and fed her.

I’d really appreciate a (not too graphic) narrative of what happened after that and how the film ended. I’ve searched on-line and can’t see the ending described anywhere.

I found the film very unsettling and think I won’t get “closure” on it until I know the ending. Or maybe I don’t want to know!

Thanks in advance.

So the father is being used to impregnate his limbless, partly eaten, lobotomised child?

Which fucked up writer made that one up?

According to Mark Kermode, and who an I to argue, the makers of the grossest, most disgusting horror films are delightful gentlemen and Michael Bay, well... vice versa.

I have experienced this with music. Keith Flint from "smack my bitch up" Prodigy was a gentleman and a scholar, kind, polite and nice. I've met him, wonderful man. Reports of John Mayer, who writes and performs marshmallowy pap... differ. Although Marilyn Manson is a twat so who knows?

Oh no @CorianderBee, it’s the man of the outsider couple who end up trapped by the horror family, not the child’s father. So...a tiny bit less horrifying?

Slothkin · 10/04/2021 17:51

Yeah @Uniquerandomer it was pretty standard torture porn/geek show fare. I watch, read and write horror stuff so this didn’t upset me beyond thinking it’s dull and unpleasant (I think say Oldboy or Seven are fantastic films, despite them being uncomfortable to watch at times).

If you want fucked up horror, try "The Devil's Chair"...
