I have posted this subject previously on the feminism area on MN. I had some very helpful replies but I would like to know if I am being unreasonable in taking my story to the press.
There are many incidents of aggressive, threatening behaviour by a senior rank male officer to female officers. It's just brushed under the carpet, then happens again and he gets moved to the department that deals with these complaints , which prevents other victims complaining. This is the dept you can usually complain to but he was moved there. He has been intimidating getting so close to your face shouting that you think he will head butt you. One woman officer left, 2 that made complaints got called names by other officers and are not trusted now. The other had to apologise to him for because they told someone their story.
There is also another officer that was inappropriate to many female officers and got caught stealing on a course but nothing was done and it was said this was the case as he was in the masons.
So many more examples of how women are bullied and are abusers are protected.
Sorry I can not put much info here as I dont want to be identified.
Would I be unreasonable in going to the press. I feel I can't go anywhere else.
Thank you all.
