Posting for traffic as I'm panicking a little bit...

I've never had piles before, but unfortunately they appeared for the first time yesterday. I'm in discomfort and itching, and I've had a look via a mirror and feel quite grossed out with what I've seen. No idea how this happened as I'm not pregnant or constipated etc.

Anyway I have been Googling and came across a thread on MN that said they never go away?? Is that right? I was hoping it would disappear in a few days but now very concerned.

Have you had covid? I’ve developed awful piles since covid then again since vaccine. Using anusol several times a day

I don't know anything about banding, sorry.

Me ? @Bluntpencil nooo
@MiddlesexGirl ah you had the op to totally cut them off ?

The biggest issue with mine is that it takes me ages to get clean after going to the toilet. Is this unusual or does anyone else get this?

I had a haemorrhoidectomy and sigmoidoscopy. And I'm hoping autocorrect has done a decent job of getting the spelling right!

You need Preparation H wipes for comfort. You use them instead of toilet paper and they are very soothing whilst you are waiting for the cream to do it's job.
