Dh and his builders bum

Whymrsrobinson · 06/04/2021 02:51

He’s not a builder, but wears his jeans loose so whenever he bends over or gets up from the sofa it’s there. I find it awful and am concerned that dd 15 and ds 13 have to see it too. Tonight he was getting stuff out the oven and it right put me off me tea! I have mentioned it delicately ( I hope) saying not great for dd to see, but he just pulls an offended or grumpy face. Aibu to ask him to cover up? Or should I live and let live?

@RefuseTheLies

If I can see my husband's builder's bum, it's fair game for trying to aim peas / ice cubes / Lego / glitter down it. Those are the rules.
Best comment ever! Grin

It's not nice, my ex's arse was constantly on display as he had a belly and belted his jeans under it meaning they constantly slid down. Seeing a hairy arse on show all the time isn't very nice and yes, it is off putting, especially when it's on show to other people too. When I was overweight my belly was tucked in my jeans, why can't blokes do this?

Maybe you could fashion some kind of blowpipe to fire frozen peas down there? It might not work but it would be fun...

It doesnt work because they don't have waists like us, so the jeans dont sit on them. Their trunk is straight so there's no hips to sit the jeans in place.

@louisetrees

First line... He’s not a builder, but wears his jeans loose...
so it's definitely not his bum, I just wonder where he got it, B&Q maybe?

On I drove past this recently
I had my window down and said oh pull up your pants for goodness sake.
Take a photo and send it to him so he sees what you mean Hopefully

For a few years My daughter's shape as a child meant this happened a lot. My friend who was lodging with us used to make a fake alarm noise to remind her to pull up her trousers, before they slid so far she'd be treading on the ankle cuffs and wearing at the hem (which happened with jeans at nursery etc). Anyway. Fast forward to living with my husband. My two daughters make this fake alarm noise every time my husband's trousers are slipping. It's a bit annoying. But quite effective. My husband does frequently wear out the cuffs of his work trousers. That's why it irks me. Not because of the sight of butt cleavage. It is just skin.

Did you harass a stranger on the street because you thought he was dressed inappropriately? That's mad. He wasn't breaking the law, mind your business.
B33Fr33 · 06/04/2021 11:13

I have also been known to poke with a hand cold from the freezer. He leaps about a foot in the air. I probably shouldn't find it so funny.

😂 Why did you have your hand in the freezer?
BeagleEagle · 06/04/2021 11:18

@Mamette um.... why do you not have your hand in the freezer?

Please tell me you don't do this. That makes you as bad as men who tot their horns and catcall. Completely rude and inappropriate.
Whymrsrobinson · 06/04/2021 23:26

You are funny! Am definitely considering pea shooters, Lego and hands out of the freezer. ( I’ll leave the rest of the body in there!) . This could be a new game, I shall sell little pea shooters and score cards.Since lockdown he’s swapped the six pack for a barrel. Or maybe he’s hiding a football up his jumper. Glad to hear it won’t traumatise teens. Only me! I mean, yuk. But then I’m no IKEA knightly. Kiera! Not IKEA!

Will keep this in mind for next time I'm subjected to it lol Grin
OP YABU for being concerned about the teenagers seeing a bit of arse crack out of jeans though?!

I drove past this recently I had my window down and said oh pull up your pants for goodness sake.

Shouting out of your car window at someone's appearance?
Nice not

Whymrsrobinson · 06/04/2021 23:53

Maybe I am! Just don’t like to see sweaty bum cracks I guess . Think it’s yuk .
And now They are showing that awful ad from andrex with bums and ‘this is clean’ (or something similar) I mean all it makes me think of is 💩 and not ‘what a nice product I must buy some’. Think I need to get out more!

🙄. They're advertising toilet paper with actual arses? 🤮🤮🤮
Whymrsrobinson · 07/04/2021 00:21

Well they are covered! Except the last shot of the puppies bum. I Mean. The ad leaves me thinking of dog poo not a warm tender feeling for andrex! Who writes this rubbish?

IncorrigibleTitmouse · 07/04/2021 00:24

Gawd, mine too. I’m tired of seeing it! He’s a big lad and has a belly so he has to buckle his jeans underneath, but every damn time he bends down the same thing happens. He is trying to lose weight, but he’s always had a tummy even when he was slimmer. Even my Mum is telling him to put his arse away these days. For shame... 😂

blubberball · 07/04/2021 05:25

My dp only seems to get builder's bum when he's doing actual DIY work in the house, so I just find it amusing and adorable. All the time, every single day might get a bit much.

Word to the wise, cold teaspoon.
wigjuice · 07/04/2021 05:59

Braces rather than belts, my two eldest sons use them as they don't really have arses that hold trousers up very well. Not a nice sight to see.

Ukholidaysaregreat · 07/04/2021 08:18

Hahaha! I constantly have builders bum. None of my trousers fit properly and I am constantly pulling them up and feeling them slide back down. Reading this thread is making me think I will buy some new higher trousers. MN is very helpful.

daysofthunder · 07/04/2021 10:30

Put you off your tea? I love pulling my husbands pants down when he's washing the dishes and getting a flash of bum.

Give it a squeeze.

Whymrsrobinson · 08/04/2021 00:08

Ewww, squeeze it?! Not chippendales unfortunately, more chip dinner!
Very funny ukholidays! Mn helpful indeed.
