How would you make the most out of this situation

Hello everyone,
My son is 5 months old. We are currently in a flat in London, the plan was to be able to move to a house relatively soon (12 - 18 months time) however covid affected our income so we will be here a little longer
We are in a small block of 7 other flats and have a communal garden with access to an outside tap
With this gorgeous weather outside today I was wondering how I can make the most out of the garden. I was thinking paddling pools etc, essentially I can have most things in there as long as I can pack it a way each night (a pain but not much of can do) that means no swing sets etc
What would you use in the garden for him from now (5 months) to say, 3 years old? I want to make the most out if it as we can

When he is walking/climbing, you could get a pikler triangle climbing frame and pack it away to have it indoors in poor weather.

Also pop up tents/dens and tunnels are great

When we lived in a flat we used to take out a tuff tray into the garden and fill with water instead of using a full paddling pool, it was easier to empty and put away.

We had a few items like a wobbel board and Pikler triangle that were used in the house but were easy to move outside to play in the garden.

These ideas are just so great, thank you. I was brought up in the countryside and have such guilt over not being able to give my son a garden yet so this is helping with that, thank you!

@stresseTired - don't think I'm allowed to name them on here am I but they are awful - only bad thing about this flat really and why we are looking forward to house ownership instead of our current lease holder status. They are the largest freeholder in London now apparently if that gives you a clue

Pot of nasturtiums/radish/mustard and cress? All would go in at night ... when your baby is old enough to appreciate?

StressedTired · 30/03/2021 21:46

Quite possibly we have the same freeholder Confused my experience has been pretty awful. Also looking forward to ownership rather than leasehold one day!

Underbed storage box with a lid for a sand box, that's all you need. Much less bulky than sand table! Best idea I have ever seen (&used)

We have a really small garden with no room for permanent things like swings etc. They always had toys that could be put away in the garage.

Our biggest successes were play tents with tunnels attached (similar to this , garden sprinkler and paddling pools (toddler sized pools are quick to put up and fill)
