To retrain at nearly 40

I'm a primary teacher and almost 40. I am wanting to change careers. Problem is I don't really know what I want to do other than I would like to retrain in something where you study and work at the same time and get paid. I've looked at social work and probation officer. Any other suggestions greatfully received. Thanks

Why wouldn't you retrain atv40? You've got another nearly 30 years of your working life to go. You may as well spend it doing a job you want to do.
