To think that women should help other women when they are attacked by men ?by men

Awful scenes from Portsmouth at a rally to violence to women. Men verbally and physically attacked women for holding a banner saying woman, adult human Female. They were egged on by the crowd including women. Rather reminiscent of witch hunts of the past. At such a vigil, what was going on and why did women not stand up for others or to stop the men?

I thought it was a women’s vigil. And so do you think it is ok for males to set upon women they disagree with contents? Especially that it was about violence to women and girls
