Seek medical advice.

Jamboree01 · 22/03/2021 02:06

Get medical advice immediately. Could be nothing, could be appendicitis which can be very dangerous. Hopefully nothing but please ring 111 at the very least

MarkRuffaloCrumble · 22/03/2021 02:08

Yeah call for some real world assistance - there’s not much we can do to help from here. I wouldn’t know where my liver even is, but if you suspect it’s that rather than stomach trouble or something period related then you need some medical help. Do you have anyone close by who can be with you while you wait?

Mycatisatabbytwat · 22/03/2021 02:09

I only have my daughter who is in bedSad

Jamboree01 · 22/03/2021 02:10

How old is your daughter?

You really need to be checked out.

Crunched · 22/03/2021 02:10

Could be gallstones...I would call 111.

PrelovedWithValue · 22/03/2021 02:10

Gallstones possibly, but definitely get it checked out. Dr Mumsnet isn't as good as the real thing.

Jamboree01 · 22/03/2021 02:20

Hope you’re ok op 💐

Mycatisatabbytwat · 22/03/2021 02:21

Mycatisatabbytwat · 22/03/2021 12:10

Hi all, it's cleared up a lot but I still feel nauseous and there's a slight pain. I'm not one to worry too much and I don't think it's much cause for concern. Thanks all xx

I'm going to throw gallbladder in there as an option. Call your GP.

MrsTulipTattsyrup · 22/03/2021 12:15

If it went over then it sounds like biliary colic caused by gallstones. Get it checked out - an ultrasound will confirm. If a stone gets stuck in the bile duct you can end up in serious bother. I’ve been there, I know. Please book an appointment with your GP.

MarkRuffaloCrumble · 22/03/2021 12:34

Glad you feel ok today. You should get it checked out though.

Especially when you’re alone with your DD and would struggle in an emergency, better to get it looked into when it isn’t causing as much trouble Flowers

Mischance · 22/03/2021 12:37

Gallstones most likely - the pain is dreadful. Get it checked out.

Spidey66 · 22/03/2021 15:35

If it is gallstones, be prepared for a long wait. I had a GP aapointment with stomach pains last July, diagnosis confirmed by ultrasound in October, and despite me having telephone appointments with the hospital, numerous GP phone calls, a trip to A&E, an ambulance crew turning up at my house and an attack about every 2-3 weeks, I'm still no nearer knowing what's actually happening. Unfortunately it's one of those operations which have been put on hold due to covid. I tell people I'm a covid casualty, even though I've never had it. It's only minor if you don't have gallstones, in which case it's life changing.

If it is gallstones, and you have my sympathy if it is, it is advisable to reduce your fat levels while you're on the waiting list as that reduces the chance of an attack. Though that advice has been hit and miss for me.

I was in your situation nearly ten years ago, Spidey, and even then, with a similar history of A&E visits, etc, it was still 9 months from diagnosis to operation, so I don’t think it’s all Covid to blame. I found that reducing my fat intake to less than 2% (which is really hard and cuts out whole swathes of food, sadly) helped the most, but as you say, is hit and miss.

Solidarity to all sufferers - it is the WORST pain I’ve ever had. And I’ve had my endometrium microwaved away without anaesthetic.
