AIBU to feel very apprehensive about tomorrow’s elective C-section

Currently have DD (10) DS1 (4) and DS2 (2) all of whom were straightforward natural deliveries and both boys were born at home.

I am due to have my twins by elective C-section tomorrow and I am petrified. One of the twins is breech and also due to my age I was persuaded that it was safer all round to have an elective.

I am scared of the operation but also the length of time I will be in hospital with no visitors and unable to see my other children.

Any positive stories would be gratefully listened to!!

I've had 1 emergency C and 2 elective.
All being well you'll be home within a couple of days ❤️
Best of luck 👍🏻

We are home now! Thankfully the C section hasn’t given me much pain at all. I was up and about once the catheta was out and took advantage of the peppermint tea!!

In fact the C-section had probably been the easiest bit. Breast feeding twin boys is hideous tough. My boobs are the size of udders and my nipples are like raspberries!!!!!! They both seem to want to feed constantly!

Well done on getting home! Good luck with the breastfeeding. Make sure you eat and drink enough to keep up with their demand!
