Invited for vaccine but not sure why - would you take it ?

If you were called and invited for vaccine but you weren’t sure why (under 40, no obvious health issues bar GDD with previous pregnancy) would you take the vaccine?? Voicemail saying referral has been made to book in with them is from the mass vaccination centre not the GP.

My view on balance is take it when offered and don’t be a martyr and refuse or question it too much.

I'd take it (I had mine according to the age criteria) and thank my lucky benefit from what might be an error.

@Ashmarie are you in the same area as your parents? I know some areas are more ahead than others. All my relatives in their 50s were done a few weeks back here....

Ashmarie · 19/03/2021 15:50

@Tappetytap yes same area, it’s strange.

I've been done this morning! :)
I am in my early 40s, no underlying health conditions - but I am an unpaid carer for a relative (whom I don't live with.)
I am delighted to have been given the opportunity, and so happy that we are beginning to get one step closer to normality.

I booked and am going tomorrow morning!! That’s what I thought - no point being a martyr and also the extra admin of questioning it! Had shielding letters too and assumed it must’ve been the GDD. Hey ho - there must be some pros to that rubbish diagnosis!! Thanks everyone! I guess I was worried about the censure from the ‘it’s not your turn police’ but actually everyone IRL has been much like the reaction here
