I don’t think Ybu I also looked forward to this just to get some sort of routine back but he also looked forward to going back to work and now he has I feel the routine is back and although I miss him on my days off I also feel more productive for some reason 🤣

I found it full on us all here. He back at office now. House small which adds to it.

Definitely NBU.

DH is only working PT (and he was only three days a week anyway) due to low demand. I've been on AL and of my 8 days off he's been here for 7 of them. DS also still at home but fingers crossed returns to sixth form tomorrow so there's been no peace. At all. We have a very small cottage, as well as two dogs and a cat. There is no escape.

I say this lightheartedly, but it's easy to see how tensions rise and one day a normally sane and rational person just snaps.

I will be sad, it has been great having DH at home for the last year. We are lucky that we have a home office in the garden so there is good separation, but it is nice to have lunch together, tea breaks together and he gets “home” at 5:30pm rather than 7:30pm.

It will be good for him to get back to the office though, he will enjoy the face to face contact with different people, so I am happy about that.

DH only works part time, furloughed, did home schooling and is currently doing DIY until he goes back to work at the end of the month and quite frankly, even with him being amazing I cannot wait until he is out of the house. I haven't had five minutes in the house alone in MONTHS.

Flexible working patterns are here to stay. My husband went back full time initially, now he’s only in the office once a week and as and when necessary.

I hear you!

He’s great. But I just want to be ALONE for half an hour!

My DH company (American, but UK based office) have said no one back in the offices until everyone is vaccinated!

This is key! Apart from the bathroom and ds's small bedroom, we have no room without someone working on video calls / doing lessons - it's doing my head in!

I understand and am not surprised about your opinion. Though please do not force him back until others have all been vaccinated.
