Mynamehaschanged · 09/03/2021 23:58

Name changed as feel embarrassed posting this but also need to know wth 🤷🏻‍♀️

Oh social media just now and people saying they predicted Piers blowing up and leaving as he now has to go into hiding and the truth is coming out 😬

About what?!

Could be he was already on a last warning and following Monday's episode and the number of complaints, has jumped before being pushed. To make a point and all. Wink

After all, he can now still say no-one has got him fired for "saying what I think".

I also think he is worryingly obsessed with Meghan. There is disagreeing/not liking someone and then, there's Piers.

Liquorishtoffee · 10/03/2021 08:09

I saw the clip (it was on the news) and I thought it looked staged. Go out with a bang (and break his contract?). He will pop up elsewhere...

IstandwithJackieWeaver · 10/03/2021 08:10

@Sobeyondthehills - do tell me Farage leaving politics is true.

PM worked at News International for both the Sun and NotW in the mid 90s.

Sparklingbrook · 10/03/2021 08:15

@mondaywine

Perhaps he is going to have to trace up to the impact his role in the phone hacking scandal has on the family of Millie Dowler? No, that would just be wishful thinking.

Have to agree with this. DH will venture 'he shouldn't be fired for something he said! You can't say anything these days. He should be allowed to say...' and I reply that he can certainly say something, he can say 'I don't like Meghan' but the problem arises when he can't shut up about something. When he goes on and on and on and on. No-one wants to listen to someone grinding an ax nonstop.

I think you've hit the nail on the head there. This thing about the Lizard people.

Interestingly they made a bit of a faux pas a few days ago when their 'ship' was seen in the sky off Cornwall, and one would doubt that it's just a coincidence that it was near Lizard Point.

Lizard Point is where, according to Kernow legend, the lizards first came ashore, then they went through the windy lanes and straight up the A30 to London.

Also if you look carefully Elizabeth (the Queen) is an anagram of 'the lizard' (you need to flip over the lowercase 'b' to make the 'd' and discard one of the 'e's) but it's an EXACT match![/quote]

I keep hearing about the new GB news channel, has it already launched or are they still just talking about it?

I suspect a deal was definitely struck between them and Piers M tbf. He’s even interviewed Andrew Neil several times or had him in the guest panel, treating him in an unusually fawning manner.

Sarahandco · 10/03/2021 08:41

Did he plan it? to go and work on the new news channel

Wouldn’t surprise me. I think he’s got something else lined up.
Justcallmebebes · 10/03/2021 08:43

I'm assuming he was under contract with ITV so can he just walk out without repercussions, especially if walking out to join another network?

I would think any contract he had with them would enable him to walk out whenever he likes and go wherever he wants or he wouldn’t agree to it.
JeanClaudeVanDammit · 10/03/2021 08:53

The only theory that has any truth behind it is the one that says he was about to go into contract negotiations with GB News and had the weight of a couple of days of near constant publicity behind him. I don’t like his programmes but he’s not daft. This was all calculated.

I agree. But yesterday on the many threads lots of posters would not entertain the idea that any of it was staged. It's PM FGS you'd be daft to think it wasn't all calculated. Grin

@TwoLeftSocksWithHoles

That was a massive mistake, but they have explained it away now, so it should all be fine, the sheep believe the story about it being optical illusions

@IstandwithJackieWeaver my whole post is true, but Farage quitting is very very true, so much so you can now find him on cameo, at a cost of nearly £70 you can get a birthday message from him. Now don't go rushing over there.

Jbon9087 · 10/03/2021 16:53

@Mayorquimby2

I wish MN would add a like feature not the don't like because the crazies on here don't need much help

...but here's mine 👍🏽...

@Sparklingbrook

Brilliant letter written the link article you posted on why Piers does NOT get away with from Millie Dowler phone tap allegations.

See this.

"The fact that he continually denies it, as he denied every other shitty thing he did, makes me believe he was involved, even though Levenson didn’t prove it. The Mirror Group has admitted that phone hacking was rife at the time (under Morgan’s tenure) and that numerous stories were the result of this kind of invasive tactic.

Why believe, then, that Mulcaire was the only one hacking into Milky Fowler’s phone? More likely he was the one chosen, by the rest of fleet Street, to throw to the wolves.

I, for one, will continue to level that accusation at him whenever he speed his bile on Twitter. Partly because he cannot or will not prove he was involved, but mainly because it pisses him off so much."

trhfxbtht · 10/03/2021 23:24

Conspiracy idiots will take anything as evidence that their batshit theories are true.

TwoLeftSocksWithHoles · 11/03/2021 07:34

@trhfxbtht

That's just what the Government and those other people want you to believe...
