This is an article about a peadophile who planned to have baby with a stranger so he could rape the baby.

There's almost no words for how utterly disgusting this is.

The premeditation to harm an innocent chile in such a horrific way is terrifying.

AIBU to think he should be monitored for life to make sure he is never alone with any child and that he should have to tell every woman he meets about his previous offences?

They can't get aroused or erect but as you indicated it doesn't stop all abuse.

That is what I thought too but apparently it's incorrect. Whilst it is true for many it isn't for all. The article I linked to was about a man who committed rape many years after castration. What I also hadn't understood was that testosterone supplements can negate the effects of castration.

I agree that it's an option we could use more to reduce the likelihood of re-offending; our current strategies, as this case demonstrates, aren't working.

Same Fo' it isn't the silver bullet but it's cheap, humane and easy to police. For my acquaintance they regularly urine test him (daily) and he has a blood test three monthly. He has a depo shot every month as part of his release conditions for a violent, drug related crime.
We don't hear about it in this country much.
Taking sexual gratification away from the scum is the least we could do imo.

YABU vote might be an accident - it does happen.

BLToutanowhere · 08/03/2021 15:27

Whole life term. No possibility of parole so YABU as far as monitoring is concerned. That should never be required.

The only way to ensure 24/7 monitoring is to put them in a very small space forever whether it be a cell or a box.

An individual like this will find a way to abuse. They cannot and will not change.

If we aren't going to bring back a death sentence, then you remove what the rest of us consider to be a life.

The only human rights I'm bothered about are those of the children this thing has and could abuse.

ChancesWhatChances · 08/03/2021 16:02

He should be shot, not monitored.

YouAreMakingShitUpNow · 08/03/2021 16:15

For what it's worth I agree, they cannot change and should never be allowed out.

Unfortunately this is not the system we have. Often they don't even get prison sentences.

They have more rights than their victims, it's sickening.

Hang the Bastard.

Hangings too quick. Fry his member off him and make him eat it

@YouAreMakingShitUpNow I don’t think the system will ever change in any meaningful way that actually protects children from people like that Sad You’re right, it’s sickening. More sickening that they’ll release people like that into society without informing communities there’s a risk to their children too, they won’t even give us a chance to protect our children when they fail at it.

Mittens030869 · 08/03/2021 18:59

The worst thing is that the majority of men like him are never caught at all. It’s the victims that pay the price. Angry
