With housing advice please who I can PM?
I really could do with some help in regards to getting the council to help me more, in relation to moving to a bigger property due to one of my disabled children.

I know Aibu isn't the place for this but I'm absolutely desperate now, and wondering if there's anything I've missed on who to ask for help.
Thanks.

Would you have difficulty in evacuating with your daughter in the event of a fire? Either through mobility difficulties or potentially refusing to walk if frightened? If so, ask housing to do a Person Centred Risk Assessment for her. If it's clear she is at risk of bring unable to evacuate in the event of a fire, they will bump up the priority with a management transfer.

The trouble is a lot of parent do just want houses, so will think of ways to get them. In my council they wouldn’t let you bid on houses because only people that live in houses get to bid on them under priority (if you want to bid on a house but live in a flat you can’t use your priority you have to bid under non priority) so if you were in my council you would only get a flat, sure you could wait for a ground floor but as you can imagine the wait for those is years anyway as everyone only wants a gf with children.

Hi thank you to all who have commented I've had some really good advice here and elsewhere and there's a few things I can try now.
I'll update in a few weeks if there's any changes.
Thank you.

You have obviously tried a lot of agencies already, but I wonder if you have considered contacting Barnados? Much of their work is now advising and working with families, they are not just about fostering etc. They often also work in partnership with schools to support children in school- maybe the school will already have a contact with them. In Scotland there is also Children First. Don't give up on getting a move. You and your children deserve a suitable place to live.

Have you had an occupational therapy assessment around looking at how to adapt the environment to better support your daughter and to contribute to a housing report?
If you haven't already, you refer yourself for a London Fire Brigade safety check (just Google it). They can then feed into the evidence that your current property is not safe for your daughter (if indeed they deem that to be the case).
