DP bought two packs of biscuits yesterday. As soon as I started I knew I would inhale all of them, after a couple I asked him to hide them and not tell me where they are for the rest of the night.

Today I am a new person, I want all of the biscuits. He won’t tell me where they are because he promised and I can’t find them anywhere. He keeps smirking when I ask, should I pull up the patio ready?

He hid them in your coat? grinWhat if you had said fuck it I'm off to buy more and put your coat on?

YABU to make a joke about domestic violence. No one would make a "lighthearted" joke about racism or disability - a joke about stabbing your husband should also be acceptable.

I aave to agree. Also, if someone came on "joking" about stabbing his wife there would be cries of "LTB" "Run for the hills" and "Get your ducks in a row" and so on. There's clearly a mindset that think it's entertaining to joke about violence and it's all okay... "because it's lighthearted".

Better than my dh. He 'helps' by eating them all so I can't binge 🤣 luckily we have very different tastes so most of my snacks stay safe - same for him when I'm on one!

You could always try some self discipline...you know - being an adult .....by passing the responsibility of not stuffing your face onto him you're only infantilising yourself....
