I’d love to be wrong, but IMO this is the reality in this country some way into the 21st century.

If these abusers attacked strangers, as opposed to their own family, this would be a criminal offence.
If they attack their own family, they are rewarded by being allowed to stay in the family homes, face no consequences and don’t even have to support their children. Is this a fair assessment?

The police removed my partner from my home luckily for me and I never allowed him back in.
