Don't really have an opinion on gender reveal parties. Didn't have one myself despite finding out the gender, but each to their own. Live and let live etc.

Demi Lovato reckons they're transphobic. Surely I'm not being unreasonable to think that calling anyone who wants to celebrate their babys gender transphobic, is utterly ridiculous

Gender is a social construct based on stereotypes that you can't see from a scan. Maybe if they were renamed as 'sex reveal parties' everyone would be happy?

I've no idea who Demi Lovato is but I think gender reveal parties are cringe. No one other than the parents cares if the baby is male or female, thankfully the parties are not common here but a cousin of mine did have one recently and of course videos it for FB, is it a method of insuring they receive 'correct' colour gifts or something else? She also had a baby shower before her first child, I have to say the fear of something going wrong with the pregnancy or birth would have prevented me from doing that.

Its not "grim" to suggest that someone might not be thinking rationally when they're known to have substance abuse issues. Its factual.

The person who originally did the posts also has said that little girls can be kinky and deviant.

I absolutely guarantee you that the kind of person desperate enough for attention to do a “gender reveal” would no way give up the attention of a baby shower as well 🤣

I think gender reveals are awful, tacky and most people don’t care anyway. It’s just an excuse to get free presents and get pissed .
What Demi thinks is just her idea toget herself noticed . No one cares !
