Is it a lie in in you wake up with the dc and then go back to bed a few hours later?

I don’t get to have lie ins in the sense of not getting up first thing with the young dc but at weekends I do like crawling back to bed around 9/10 am when dh gets up. Is this a lie in? I don’t think so but dh does.

YABU = it’s the same
YANBU = it’s not as nice and not the same.

We used to do this when DC were little, called it a staggered lie in.

I much preferred being the one who got up earlier and went back to bed later for a bit

I used to do this and prefer it. Just get up watch TV brain-dead with kids for a while then go back for a nice nap.

My husband on the other hand would never get back to sleep once he is up.

So we always tag teamed that way. It was one way we were very compatible with small kids.

If one of you isn't happy with the arrangement that's v different.
