(This is a post about covid vaccine,so if this triggers you, feel free to move along)
I had my first covid vaccine today.
My good friend rang today and I told her I was off for jab.
Her response "I'm not getting it,putting monkey flu in my body"
(I don't say anything except)
"I'm happy to take it"
Then she says "I'm not getting it,if they make it mandatory to have it before they let you in shops ,restaurants then I won't go out ever again"
So I say
"You would ruin your life like that ?why don't you have a read up about the vaccine and get facts rather than sprout your monkey flu none sense"
She hangs up and says I'm patronising

Was i in the wrong ?
Am I patronising )

Thing is she isn't technically wrong about the monkey flu.

It is a derivative of a chimpanzee adenovirus. Well the AZ one is.

She's a twat to believe that's something that makes it dangerous or odd or a reason to be avoided.

But she is entitled to her opinion about not liking it as much as you are entitled to be happy to have it.

I was overjoyed when I got mine. I have friends who've decided they don't want it.
