To want to study again even though I messed up my degree

To put a long story short I picked the wrong degree and university and really messed up with using up all my funding by trying to do something my heart just wasn't in.

Now I'm older and know what I actually do want to study but obviously as a single mum I don't have the money just lying around to start a new degree.

Does anyone know of any funding available to study again or any institutions with really reasonable payment plans?

For those wondering, I would like to study agronomy to become an agronomist.

Oh brilliant thank you @PPNC that's way more helpful than I imagined I'd get from this post

I did half a degree, leaving for health reasons. I spoke to SFE and they gave me full funding for a new degree because I had evidence I left my prior study due to health. Is that an option?

@Dungabees indefinitely was going through a lot of hardship and struggles at the time but not sure I'd find any evidence for it now although whilst I was studying i did go to the doctor about PTSD and I applied for extra funding for hardship at that time due to anxiety which SFE might have on record.

It sounds as though you can provide evidence in which case it would be worth asking SFE if you could receive more funding. I know someone who was able to get this and they said that SFE were helpful and sympathetic.

Thanks @SaskiaRembrandt do you, or anyone else here know, if I'd have to have applied for the course before they could tell me or would I get a decision regardless of applying for a specific course?

I'll give them a call when DD wakes up from her nap

@PPNC thank you I'm excited to have a look!

I just saw a distance learning course in Scotland and wondering if anyone knows if I can apply for student finance in Scotland despite my 'previous' in England. Couldn't see any agriculture courses in the UK.
I've found a distance learning certificate for 300ish which I could do for now whilst applying for degrees and looking at funding.

That should have written, with the OU, rather than in the UK
