Do you have to self isolate after the jab if you get a temperature as a side affect?

If you get covid symptoms after the vaccine you should isolate and get tested in case it is covid and not due to the vaccine.

It doesn't protect straight away, you could have been infected before the vaccine, it's not 100% either...though it could be due to the vaccine but why take the chance??

From the NHS website:

COVID-19 vaccine side effects

Most side effects of the COVID-19 vaccine are mild and should not last longer than a week, such as:

a sore arm where the needle went in
feeling tired
a headache
feeling achy
feeling or being sick
You can take painkillers, such as paracetamol, if you need to.

If you have a high temperature you may have coronavirus or another infection.

If your symptoms get worse or you are worried, call 111.

FWIW our jab centre told people not to get a test unless their temperature lasted more than 12 hours.

However, my temperature lasted only 6 hours but I got a test anyway and I was positive. Assumption is that I had asymptomatic covid before going for the test.

wouldn’t you self-isolate if you had a temperature anyway🤷?? This is why we will always require lockdowns.A bit of common sense...

If I had the jab, then that eve got a temp for an eve /day then fine the following day. No I wouldn’t isolate.
