Neighbour using bin

I’ve been a bit unwell so haven’t taken my bin in this week until now and it is absolutely full to the top! I wouldn’t mind the odd item or bag but the bin is over flowing and it was pretty heavy dragging up the steps to my house. Aibu in thinking this is taking the piss?! It’s clearly my upstairs neighbours and they do this a lot basically if I don’t bring it in the will fill it. Why oh why do people use other people’s bins?!

Yeah, I think that is out of order. I mean if you're going to do something as annoying as that you could at least actually ask the neighbour (you). Instead of just dumping a load of rubbish quite literally into something that is someone else's property. I think you should get a lock like other people suggest and also put a picture of a dog baring its teeth on top of the bin just to emphasise the point.

My neighbours son forgot to put the bin out one morning (parents were away for the weekend) he put it out after the others were emptied and checked my bin to confirm this, i saw what he was planning as he moved his full bin next to my empty bin (which is never where they put it, they put it next to their fence and my bin is at the bottom of my front garden in front of my house about 5m way) and then went off to the shop in his van, I went out and got my bin as he was going to come back and take my empty one in with him, leaving their full one for me Angry. When he came back he took his empty bin in and started to load the rubbish into the back if his van to take to the tip Grin

We have our bins regularly cleaned and next door's are filthy. Last week they took ours after the bin men had been (despite a bloody great door number on the front) and had half-filled it when I rang on their door to ask for it back.
I'm pretty sure it was a genuine error, to be fair, but if I had a neighbour regularly doing it I sure as hell would take action.
