Yep. You end up with the crotch half way down your thighs. I struggle to find cycling trousers for the same reason.

I am wearing white stripe Ronhill runners right now. With stirrup cut off.
They’ve always seems pretty uncontroversial ‘lounging round house’ type things. Not so sure now.

I loved my ski pants! With my batwing jumper and ankle boots. Or my burgundy cord pedal pushers with my hand-knitted country scene jumper. Like this one.

@ZaraCarmichaelshighheels YY to low rise combats. I want them to come back too. I would alternate them with the fat knee friendly ski pants which, as a short arse, I had no crotch difficulties with :)

I lived in ski pants in the 80s. Used to buy them from Kensington Market.

Other 80s trends I used to love were:

Diamanté
Long shirts
Long sweaters
Three quarter length trousers (hold the front page!)
Herringbone overcoats
Levi’s 501s
Vest worn over tee shirt - often a mesh vest ( why?!)
Jeans and stilettos

Absolutely! Used to wear mine with black stilletos, an electric blue satin shirt and a black wide elasticated belt.

Also had load of bodies with the poppered gusset. It was quite, erm, common, to have a few too many to drink and be unable to do them up again, and you would see girls with the back half hanging over their jeans

Still have my original 501s. Cannot bear to give them up. And the slouchy boots - heaven.

Those bodies were a nightmare!
