As so many people have said they are the best thing they have bought during the lockdowns , AIBU to ask which one you bought and would recommend ?

There’s a quite a few in the range, What influenced your decision?

The only complaint I have with the Eufy is that the boundary strips are pretty useless both because mine seems to go over them regularly and, frankly, who wants great lengths of tape stuck on the carpet under furniture? Also it constantly gets stuck under sofas (it would be good if they came up with some sort of strip to stick on the underside of sofas/furniture to act as a boundary so the Eufy doesn't get stuck under furniture (and so that the strips don't need to be visible).

Just back from having my Covid jab and starving. Will catch up later - thank you all.

I've been tempted so many times but I have messy (young) children - would this mean I have to tidy more often? What does it do if it comes across a toy (or shoe) on the floor?

We got the G30 hybrid as I fancied it being able to mop too. Someone gave me a £90 off code for Amazon but it is expired now. I have used her everyday day since we got her, totally in love. I can sk Alexa to tell her to clean, go on the app to tell her to start, programme times for her to clean on the app or press the button on her. I have alexa on my fitbit so it is incredibly easy to start a clean. I do find the boundary stuff useless, I thought it would be tape that could discreetly be stuck on the underside of furniture, but sadly not. We have no managed to work out how to stop her jamming herself under a bit of furniture, so I have been closing the door on that room when going out to work. Might try a pillow. Coming home to clean floors gives me so much joy as work is crazy.

I have only used the mop once so I don't necessarily recommend choosing one to get that function. I might try it again. She doesn't know when she runs out of water but just keeps going, so it is a pain to work out where she stopped properly cleaning if that makes sense. That said, I realised I wasn't fully filling the tank as I was holding the tank horizontally when filling when I should have held it vertically so I may give it another go.

I am not someone who normally buys stuff like this, I don't own a dishwasher and only got a tumble drier a year ago! But this is honestly the best thing ever!

That's interesting, mine NEVER goes over the boundary strips. Completely agree on something to stick under the bottom of the furniture would be good, I did try it but that definitely doesn't work. Mine fits under the sofas in the lounge but just gets stuck on the playroom sofa which is highly annoying.

Depends on the toy, it pushes my dogs balls around. It would eat the laces on shoes and then drag them round with it.

I do think they suit tidy households. We don't have stuff lying on the floor, nor rugs. So it's a quick "throw the dogs toys" into the basket routine at bedtime and that's it.

I got the 15C max in May (off the back of a MN post re best lockdown purchase). It is by far the best thing I bought last year. I got the 15C Max after comparing similar it was best at the price point (and on offer). A friend has a very expensive one that does the full mapping. The difference between the expensive mapping ones and the 15C Max is that the 15C doesn’t do corners well. The expensive ones have extra brushes to reach in the corners but to pay £500 less, I’m not bothered about the corners!

I mostly use it on hardfloors, have no pets and mostly use the max setting. The battery is drained quicker on max setting but it’s fine to do all downstairs.

I am shocked at the amount of dust it collects even if I’ve just used it the day or two before.

I like feeling smug when I have it on and I’m sitting working on the sofa dent Grin

ChocOrange1 · 19/02/2021 13:15

I wouldnt bother paying extra for one with wifi connectivity. Its quicker to just go and press the button than to do it on your phone, and I would never want it going when I wasnt in the house because it quite frequently gets stuck.

Becles · 19/02/2021 13:21

We jointly bought a roomba for Christmas having always said I'd divorce if I got a household present as a gift. It's the best thing ever and brought more joy than you'd think.

Buy one.

I have two 11s eufy hoovers. You don't need all the bells and whistles. They tootle about fine.

Oregano20 · 19/02/2021 13:56

We've got the 30C

He's called Dusty

I do love it, and it makes you keep the floors clear, but my shark is better if I just want to clean a messy floor quickly.

SpeckledyHen · 21/02/2021 18:24

Thanks for all the info .

I have the 15CMax and he is wonderful, even though he has knocked over a couple of things, eaten a handkerchief and got in a fearful fury when I started storing some thick rubber exercise mats under a coffee table he could previously get underneath. I've never seen a vacuum so determined to get somewhere.

brittanyfairies · 21/02/2021 18:54

I have an 11S called Rufus, I love him. I to to him like he's human. I have a hairy Springer spaniel and 2 cats. He deals with everything they throw at him.

He does sometimes try and eat the curtains

bloodyhairy · 21/02/2021 19:58

My Eufy - named Dustin - arrived today! He's an 11S, the slim version, and most basic model. I didn't want a WiFi connected one, as I would generally only tend to use him while at home. And he needs a bit of help, due to the configuration of our flat.
He was good. I'm impressed. I've yet to decide if it's a bit faddy though, and if I'll just think 'sod it' and end up whipping out my Miele instead!
It was very easy to set up and use. And to empty at the end. I live with my 3 daughters, and we all have thick, long hair. The brushes were rather hairy at the end, and I had to cut it all out Blush It wasn't too big a hassle factor though.
The slim model really does come into its own with getting under furniture though, so I'm pleased about that.
So I like Dustin overall. Hopefully the cleaning of him - and the moving of things out the way - won't consign him to the hall cupboard before long.
I am rather taken with him though, and kept talking to him encouragingly. My daughters think I have finally lost the plot Grin
