This is driving me mad!!! About 6 years ago, I used to buy a logic puzzle book every month and the puzzles were really tricky, which is why I liked them. It is definitely not Logic Problems by Puzzler. I used to buy it in WH Smith but haven't seen it for years now.
The book was about A5 in size and I *think it had a picture of a head on the front, but I might be wrong with this. Does anyone PLEASE know what this was called as I would love to find it again. Please put me out of my misery!

Does anyone know what this is called. It's lots of dots and numbers 0-3 and you have to join the lines by the number of sides the number has.

Not explaining well but if it's number 3, it will have 3 sides, if it's 2 it will have 2 sides, if it's 0 it will have 0 sides. The lines all end up joining in one big loop.
@prettygirlincrimsonrose by pure fluke I google searched logical challenge and it came up on images! Shame I cannot find the publisher :(
I have two copies dated 2002, published by Highbury Nexus Puzzles and one dated 2006 with a 'New Look!' flash on the cover, published by Future Publishing Limited.
There is a magazine and media company called Future PLC, who publish a lot of magazines including Marie Claire, Ideal Home & Chat - but no logical challenge.
The 2006 copy has a web address for subscribing www.myfavouritemagazines.co.uk which is now apparently part of magazinesdirect.com but the only puzzle magazine I can find on there is Puzzle Perfect, which looks to be mostly crosswords & other word puzzles

These were great! Occasionally you’ll get that type of puzzle in a mixed puzzle book, but not many.
I have an app now :)

@RustyBear that's one one! I used to love those, always did them first in the book. I knew someone would know the name. Off to happily google now.

I asked for a subscription for Christmas, don't think my husband believed me that I wanted it. If it doesn't show up for my birthday I'm buying it myself!

Wow! I haven’t thought about Logic Problems for a while. That baldy man on the cover takes me back.

I remember taking these on holiday as a child. Because I was a child. And they are for children, aren’t they?

IIRC, they take no skill or knowledge - you just fill out a grid according to what the ‘clues’ say and eventually you get the answer.

Great for a bookish child of about 10 to do on a car ferry. But, come on grown ups, life is for living.

awesomekaren · 17/02/2021 22:38

@masterbeth oh do fuck off dear

hulahooper2 · 17/02/2021 23:18

I loved that mag

violetbunny · 18/02/2021 08:20

Oh I love puzzle books. Especially the Penny Dell ones. They sell back issues at hugely discounted prices, so I once ordered a great big box of puzzles mags. They took an age to arrive, but a couple of years later and I'm still working my way through them!

Aditya3 · 31/05/2021 06:36

😂 The irony of your last sentence, given that your life is apparently so sadly empty that you have to fill it by being goady on MN threads.

Do share with us what you do with your tremendous skill and knowledge, pleeeeeease, oh wise one, so we can mend our ways! 😂😂😂😂😂

Anniegetyourgun · 14/08/2021 13:48

I don't remember the one mentioned in the OP, but am fond of the Puzzler Logic Problems mags and do still buy them occasionally, though phone games keep me largely occupied these days. I used to get Take a Break sometimes but they weren't quite so well done. I try to solve them without using the grid, generally possible for most of them but there's always that tricky one...

@ladylasnack I should be the one saying Thanks 🙏 would you like me to inbox you a few questions. But I must say I prefer the ones with the man's head on the cover 😉
