Timeless yet modern kitchen- does it exist?

Would anyone be able to suggest suitable ideas for a 90s built house? Colour, style, worktops? Don’t want something that looks dated in 5 years.
Help us !! Terrible at interior design.

I think away from painted and back to wood. But really just going on my gut feel. I loved painted cream then blue and now I'm back to liking wood!

We’ve got cream shaker style - here when we moved in - but I really don’t like it! I don’t like creams / beiges at all - what’s wrong with white?- and prefer a cleaner line.
