To ask if you don't wear a mask - why?

Had a gin or two, and reflecting on my day whilst watching shit films on Netflix.

Been food shopping to Morrisons today. Saw a handful of people not wearing masks, nor a lanyard indicating they are exempt.

They might have had their own legitimate reasons for not wearing a mask. But then again...they might not!

So...on an anonymous forum, I would like to ask...if you don't wear a mask, why do you choose not to?

FWIW I don't mean those of you who are exempt for medical reasons. Just those of you who simply don't want to wear one, I'm curious why.

P.S please don't shout at me for creating a covid-related thread on here!

Fed up of people saying 'I'm exempt but I wear one' - If you CAN wear a mask you're not medically exempt regardless of whether you have one of the listed conditions. It's not a definitive exhaustive list. There are people who are not listed who are exempt. There are people with said conditions who are not exempt because they can wear a mask.

It's a shame that the government hasn't come up with something like other countries but as others have said, even if you are exempt it's not required to have/show any kind of proof. I have a lanyard because I carry my house key and radar key around on one normally anyway so it's easy - but might not be for everyone, and people don't always want to have a 'I'm disabled!' arrow pointing straight at them. It's the gov who have failed to provide a system here, and the dicks who lie because they don't want to wear one, not the genuinely exempt, and they shouldn't suffer for it.

Yes this 1000 times. The only exemption is If you are physically or mentally unable to wear one or it would cause you harm to do so, not that you have some form of one of the suggested conditions on a list that may make it more difficult for sufferers to wear one.
Some people just haven't bothered trying.

I bet if shops gave you £1 on the way in if you were wearing a mask a lot would suddenly find they could.
