To think this looks cheap and nasty? Roof

New roof- a lot of money
And I hate this look for the ridge tiles
It looks like they’ve forgotten to take the spacers out.
Tell me I’m being precious and it looks ok

They’re not actually my tiles Salty, I did say they were an example of the ridge tiles

I’ve just been and inspected mine and I don’t think it’s as bad as I feared.

Yes, mortared would be nicer, but for the benefits
of this, I could resign myself to accept it, and just

How much time do you spend staring at ridge tiles?

Just showed dp this. He is a roofer. He said it's a requirement any new roof would need to have them. It's significantly quicker than mortering the tiles in and longevity is much better. So all roofs will eventually look like this.

They do look odd yes. Interesting that they're for ventilation, does lots of rain not get in??

I don’t spend all day staring at them, but if they stand out then I would notice them every day and be annoyed! I want to look at my roof and think it’s lovely!

Yours look much better than the photos you first posted.

You can have a bedded ridge but you will then need to ventilate the roof in another way.

They really should produce terracotta coloured cable ties. But your roof looks lovely and neat
