My baby slept through last night! 10:30pm til 7am!

I’m a new woman! I could run a marathon! I could finish a crossword! I am happy as a lamb in clover!

Tell me what’s brightening your day on this beautiful, cold morning!

How lovely 😊
I am delighted because, having worked all weekend, England chose to win a test on my day off 🥳 Now in bed with a new book

Roselilly36 · 09/02/2021 08:51

Yay! What a breakthrough. Sleep is so important. You just don’t realise before you have a baby do you.

bananamonkey · 09/02/2021 09:05

Amazing! Please can you come and teach my baby please? She slept pretty well for the first 4 months but It’s been 6 months since I’ve slept longer than 2 hours in a row and I’m a husk of a human being.

MisiSam · 09/02/2021 09:06

Woohoo mine is a toddler (20months) and sleeps through but I feel the same today as he slept untill 8am! Usually he gets up around 6 so it felt amazing waking up that little bit later .

HumourReplacementTherapy · 09/02/2021 09:18

I remember it well. Waking up at 7am and legging it out of bed in a state of panic to check on DS who was sat smiling in his cot.
He's 21 now but it stuck in my head Grin

Bumpsadaisie · 09/02/2021 09:55

@KatyClaire how old is Dbaby?

I hope it lasts ....

WitchesBritchesPumpkinPants · 09/02/2021 10:00

Congratulations!!

Long may it last.

CigarsofthePharoahs · 09/02/2021 10:07

Ah. I remember when ds2 finally slept through the night, and didn't need an hour of cuddling first. He was 3. When I woke up it felt like coming up from the depths of the ocean. I spent the whole day feeling a little spaced out.
Right now? Ds1 is upstairs getting on with his schoolwork. Ds2 is sat at the kitchen table doing a work sheet on how to tell the time. It's quiet, they're actually being productive! It wont last, but I'm enjoying it for now.

Imloosingmyshit · 09/02/2021 10:34

Good for you! Is always amazing when your baby finally sleeps a little longer. Smile

zoobaby · 09/02/2021 11:05

Are you breastfeeding? I remember that feeling after the first uninterrupted sleep Grin.

IveMadeAHugeMistake · 09/02/2021 11:22

Ahhh, I remember that joy Grin

Waking up in daylight 😮 to the sound of DD chatting to her teddies instead of in the pitch black to the sound of crying.

A truly weird and magical feeling 😊

Nothing desperately exciting for me today, but I have been assigned the slightly easier thing that we do for work rather than the slightly harder thing we do, sooooo I'll take it 😊

Lolly34h · 09/02/2021 11:29

My dd has slept through since about 6 month old! However I have 2 teens 15 and 18 who regularly wake me through the night Sadthe toddler is a better sleeper at age 3Confused

KatyClaire · 09/02/2021 14:08

Dontletthecatout · 10/02/2021 01:06

Huge congratulations! My 16 month old still sleeps in our bed! And sits on our head if we attempt a hug 😕

grassisjeweled · 10/02/2021 01:14

EveryDayIsADuvetDay · 10/02/2021 01:57
