I’m finding I’m struggling to find books I love and that kindle unlimited isn’t worth it when I could pay for one great book a month for the same cost. Help my find some fab books please in unlimited.

Sometimes it is worth it esp if there is a series of books under the deal. Other times I struggle to find anything for a while and pay for other books. When that happens I just cancel the subscription for a month or 2 and then restart it later when I see something

I love kindle unlimited, but I read a lot. I can always find something to read, but then I do enjoy psychological thrillers and crime/police procedurals, and there are lots on there. I've read so many series, done better than others but I have a few firm favourites and it makes my day when a new book comes out. It would've cost me loads more if I'd bought the books

Scribd is fantastic, much better than Kindle unlimited, at least the US version is, but would assume same with U.K., can get a month free trial here:

I love it, but I’m not opposed to self published and I generally use it for non-fiction books too, which it has in abundance. If you’ve still got it for a bit I recommend Zikora: A Short Story.

I have had it. For about 10 months now. I read a couple of books a. Week and it has meant I can try a new author and see if. I like them. DD also reads 2 or 3 a week and has found loads so it is pretty economical for us.

@TheQueef I read them during the first lockdown! Went through them so quickly. I have rediscovered Iain Robb Wright after many years and all of his books are on unlimited so I've worked my way through so many recently! The Gates series is good and reminds me of RR Haywood

I've had kindle unlimited for many years and it has definitely improved compared to what it used to be like without a doubt!

Once you use it a lot then it will tailor choices/suggestions for you.

The daily kindle deals for 99p are usually good and so are the books chosen for the monthly 99p offer. A good selection but obviously some iffy ones but majority good.

I hardly watch TV at all so all I do is mainly read. Crime books, horror, psychological all kinds of different genres and it's really good for all.

Pressed post too soon! A few good authors used to self publish on there many years ago and now they have an agent. Great selection.

My children enjoy unlimited as well. For the price and the amount of books we all read it is an absolute bargain for us particularly with kids kindle also. Wouldn't be without it at all

I took a free trial, but found it was mostly dross so didn’t continue with it. A precious poster mentioned bookbub which aggregates the offers of the genre you’re interested in and sends you a daily email.

Snoopysimaginaryfriend · 06/02/2021 17:11

I love kindle unlimited.
I mostly read crime fiction and thrillers so there is loads of choice and I’m working my way through several series now.
I have it on my Amazon fire and got it because when I was going to work I would have to carry two books if one was about to end. Now I can read it in the dark whilst putting DDs to bed

LadyLindaT · 06/02/2021 18:16

All I can say is that it has been very useful for me. Long Covid caused dreadful insomnia, so I was getting through 5 books a night, so I think that the Kindle Unlimited subscription has been wellworth the money for me.Admittedly, quality is variable, but there have been lots of books that I have enjoyed.

nevernotagain · 06/02/2021 18:27

I think it's worth it depending on what types of books you like to read. For me it's worth it, but I mostly read smutty romance and thrillers Grin
