I’ve had ever increasingly painful chest, and abdominal pain for 5-6 days. No pain in pelvis, but do have pain in both shoulders. Currently in hospital since Monday am and am under surgical team. So far they can find absolutely no cause for the pain. They have so far done the following tests and everything fine. ECG, chest X-ray, bloods, ct scan, internal scan of ovaries as slight possibility of swollen Fallopian tube and ovary indicated on ct scan yesterday but that was ruled out by internal ultrasound this morning. So now I’m back under surgical team again.
What on earth could possibly be causing pain? What is likely to be their next move if they can’t find a source of pain? Hard to get talking to surgical as they are inconveniently in surgery all day. Had an awful night of pain last night until they eventually gave me 2 paracetamol and 2 dihydrocodeine at 5 or 6 and again at 12 which has brought pain down to about a 3 out of 10. Will they send me home with pain relief if can’t find cause?
Better yet, anyone want to play at Dr. House and diagnose me?
