Shes sorted the right hand circle into arrays. Preparing to teach multiplication

and Annie had to sort them into two groups, one group to go in each circle. though why we're all assuming that, I don't know. There's nothing in the question to say so.

All the blocks on the right have the same number (1, 1, 1, 1, 1) (2, 2, 2, 2) (3, 3, 3) and the ones on the left are mixed (2, 3, 2), (2, 2, 1), (3, 3, 3, 2)

I am a KS1 TA and White Rose maths does my head in! I appreciate the concept behind it but so many of the questions are so bloody wordy it's akin to a measure of reading ability when a child attempts to complete a sheet.

I'd say one set has groups that have one unequal section (1 more or 1
less) whereas the other set has all equal groups.

Typical lower maths - the answers are usually so simple that you can't help overthinking them!
