THE only thing that works for my bastard hics is drinking vinegar!
Not much. start with a small swig then have another if necessary. I rarely need a third.
Its to do with the sourness apparently.

Another vote for drinking water the wrong way out of a glass. Works instantly for me.

Spoonful of white wine vinegar- try it- it works!
