To think the majority of informal hospital admissions are not really

I’ve been offered informal admission a number of time with the undertone that I would be sectioned if I didn’t agree. Is this quite common or does an offer of informal sometimes mean you can say no with no further action being taken.

I’d say firstly I hope you’re ok
Secondly
Given the paucity of mental health services right now, I’m assuming this is necessary and needed ?
What’s happening , if you
Want to say

Thank you for your kind response. No I’m not currently being admitted. I have been in the pass but I’m currently stable.

You are always offered informal first (and maybe home treatment before that). If the team are adamant you need inpatient care then yep, you're going in regardless. Always best to agree to informal if it is offered.
My last stay was informal and despite during my stay being put on a Sec5.2 and also a 136, I stayed informal.

I’ve known people that have apparently just been sectioned and not got the choice to go informal.
