AIBU to feel controlled because my boss is asking me to explain what I do during my annual leave?

I booked a week off and my boss insisted that I explain what I did during my time off and why I wanted those particular days off. It was not a case of being short staffed, as no one else had requested those days. To me, it feels intrusive and controlling. I told my boss I did not have any particular plans for those days, but continued to ask the reason I wanted that time off.

Tell them you having a sex party hopefully that will shut the person up
Unless they just being friendly

Are you being overly sensitive? "What did you get up to on your holiday?" is quite a normal thing to ask someone.

Absolutely none of their business unless you attended N illegal rave and came back into the office with a temperature and cough.

Maybe you were attending an online burlesque workshop, or intensive marriage counselling, either way none of their business.

Weird boss

Odd, if it was more interrogating than pleasantries. I would get annoyed and say is there a specific question you want to ask me? (Maybe he was asked by managers to check you followed rules but didn't want to directly ask?)

I find it massive overreach to ask whether someone is going abroad too, Covid or no Covid, unless there’s a national security reason. That’s something for the authorities to police. I always keep my travel plans vague and tell work I am travelling before I actually am as work has a habit of seeping into the last possible moment. No one gets hurt, so what’s the problem?
