To be a bit freaked out - someone airdropped something on my tv

Was sitting here watching tv and suddenly it stopped and someone airdropped YouTube which opened and it had something about vodaphone phone on the top of screen. Then it stopped a few seconds later. It’s a Sony Bravia smart tv so I just turned off the WiFi on it but have we been hacked? I’m a bit freaked out.

No we use the password on the back of the router. Didn’t know you could change it

Please do change the password or it leaves you vulnerable to hacking. The engineers who write the code can leave ‘back doors’ in the code that allow them to access later (and if you haven’t changed the password that makes it very easy for them, same with baby monitoring cameras and smart door bells.)

Always change the password as soon as you get an electronic that uses WIFI or Bluetooth.

If it’s a smart TV make sure you encrypt and hide any files eg photo albums you want to keep private. Remember if you give guests the WiFi password they can access any file on your TV unless password encrypted or hidden (as I discovered when my old friend came to stay and on leaving told me how much she’d enjoyed looking at our photos from 2008! She was in some of them so I don’t blame her for looking, but other (private) photos were also on that hard drive so it was very embarrassing to think she could have viewed all sorts!)
