Not to go to job Interview?

louisekel · 26/01/2021 11:32

I have two job interviews via zoom tomorrow.
One at 12 pm and the other at 5.30pm
My brain honestly feels like it's going to explode
I'm trying to remember things about both companies but it's all getting jumbled up.
Would you cancel one ? And just focus on one?
Rather than two ?
Both customer service roles but one is for motor insurance and the other for communications.
I wouldn't mind either job if I'm honest
What would you do ?

I've done two zoom interviews. Stick the name of the interview you are in in your eye line as a reminder.

I got a large box and stick key words on it behind my lap top. It was really useful to have them as prompts.

I got offered both jobs, so clearly worked ok.

Good luck.

@Sethy38 it's trying to remember information and questions that's the problem.
I've had many similar roles and handled them well.
It's the pressure and nerves of interviews that make me terrified and doubt myself.

Good luck, OP!
Hope they both go well.

What type of job? Because for most remembering information and questions is important

@Sethy38

I don’t think that remembering information and questions in the context of an interview is similar to when doing a job. An interview is much more stressful so easy to get nervous and forget things that you wouldn’t usually once you’re in post.

100% agree. I get nervous and stressed before interviews, but I don't get nervous or (that) stressed before starting work every day!

@Sethy38 it's the worry of the interview which makes me forget things.
As I want the job so much

Depends on the job.

If for example involves lots of fairly high stress situations, for example presentations to large audience - then very relevant

I interviewed some potential candidates recently for the first time, I can tell you honestly we all looked for the best in the applicants, we wanted them to do well, we picked up on all the positive things said. It was good to experience the other side, as like you I get extremely nervous in interviews and presume any tiny slip up will lose me the job offer! Sell your strengths and good luck!
