To ask about A&E wait times at the moment?

My GP has told me I need to go to A&E, I don't feel like I need to but she was very insistent - but surely A&E are rammed at the moment and I will just be sat there for hours for them to potentially say nothing is wrong, wasting their time and mine (theirs being the most important). I am torn over what to do.

Your question is on a par with ‘how long is a piece of string?’ Different A & Es have different waking times. Just go - take a book to stop you being bored - or just log in to Mumsnet! The sooner you go the sooner it will be sorted.
