Definitely. Every time I see a beard all I think about is the bacteria in it 🤢

user1493413286 · 19/01/2021 09:03

I don’t ask him to but a couple of years ago when he grew a beard I was honest that I didn’t like it. If I dyed my hair a different colour I’d expect him to tell me if he didn’t like it.

LittleRa · 19/01/2021 09:04

@Sinful8 Does your DH ask you to shave?

SchrodingersImmigrant · 19/01/2021 09:05

@peak2021

I'm saddened if anyone feels the need to, and their DH doesn't either have some pride in appearance or doesn't because he thinks it's fashionable to look awful.
That's actually rude. Hmm
whatisforteamum · 19/01/2021 09:23

I have.I don't like beards or stubble. My dh is 60 and just looks unkempt or ill if he doesn't shave.Sometimes he wears really scruffy clothes too even d's has mentioned it.

starfishmummy · 19/01/2021 09:26

Mine has a beard so no.
However if he didnt have a beard and had stubble that was scratching me, then yes I would!!

Ploughingthrough · 19/01/2021 09:28

No. I'd be pissed with him if he told me to remove any hair that I didnt feel like removing myself, so I wouldn't do it to him.

Changi · 19/01/2021 09:31

My husband would almost definitely grow a beard if left to his own devices. He shaves to please me. It's his own choice. I've never asked him to.

Bourbonbiccy · 19/01/2021 09:31

I have sensitive skin, so my husband does keep pretty well shaven as he doesn't want me to get sore skin, but it's his choice.
We just can't be snogging all the time with his prickles.

How bizarre - do you think that when you nuzzle your child's hair? Or your husband nuzzles yours?
JaniceEvans · 19/01/2021 09:34

He always asks my opinion and I always say it's up to him, but that it's MUCH nicer kissing his beard face than his scratchy stubble face Grin he looks great either way

Palavah · 19/01/2021 09:35

I've told him he looks great with a beard and also that stubble is scratchy (clean-shaven or beard is fine). What he does with that information is up to him.

ExclamationPerfume · 19/01/2021 09:43

@Palavah no because there is no food/drink in close proximity to head hair.

Aria2015 · 19/01/2021 09:46

Yes, I do! I don't mind how it looks but I hate the feel. My dad had a beard and so when dh tries to kiss me (proper kiss), it reminds me of my dad and kills my mood! I can't get over associating the two! Dh knows the reason and he knows he's unlikely to get any action if he's not shaved for 4+ days!

Taylrse · 19/01/2021 09:57

I always say that it's his choice, so sometimes he shaves and sometimes he doesn't. I wouldn't like it if someone told me what to do with my own body hair.

thelegohooverer · 19/01/2021 10:04

His body, his choice.

Palavah · 19/01/2021 10:17

All the people I know with beards manage to put the food and drink inside their mouth rather than around it.
Grin

Don't have one.

No it came up at work, seems most of the clean shaven men in the team are because their partner told them too or gave them an ultimatum. I was curious if it was that common or if they were exaggerating
