Tonight I gave my lo the usual nightly dose of vitamins. Dh and I do bedtime together, same routine, vitamins then teeth then story. Anyway when I gave the vitamins dh was stood next to my 18 month old and i was talking about the vitamins. I then went to get his toothbrush and came back to dh giving another dose of vitamins.

Aibu to now be very worried?? The vitamins are abidec multivitamins and hes had twice the daily dose.

I'm also really cross with dh. This is typical of him not paying any attention to me or what is going on around him. He's a good dad but his attitude is just ah he will be fine....logic tells me he probably will be but still!

Advice would be very helpful please x

Nothing will happen. The kids mulvit are usually low dose. One extra will have no impact

Kid will be fine. It will all be stuff that the body just pisses out if you have more than it needs

It's fine, there's a huge safety margin between daily dose and dangerous dose for a one off.

Thanks all, I'm just worried because it literally says in the instructions to be very cautious of double dosing.

I guess I'm probably over reacting slightly because I'm so annoyed with dh.

I did that one day. Dd was fine. The next day I made a point of remembering that she had already had her vitamins that evening, went to give another child theirs and promptly gave it to her again!!!! Blush
She was fine, no issues.

When it comes to medication, a good rule is that only one parent is in charge of it.
Don't give any tomorrow, but really most multivitamin have very low levels and make little if any difference and impact on health.
