After accidentally sending an email to the wrong person today at work, please tell me your email fails to make myself feel better!

My Mum rang this evening.
"My email to you won't go through!", she says, indignantly.
"You might have misspelled or missed a dot out Mum".
"I don't think so. I copied it from your message to me. I put Martini Dry 19 colon 22...".
"19:22? That's not my email address. That's the time you received my message Mum".
"Oh. So do I just put MartiniDry and press send, then?".

🤦🏼‍♀️

Many years ago when inter office Mail was all new myself and a colleague were having a discrete fling and I wrote a long and erotic Mail to him about what I wanted to do to him at lunch and promptly sent it to my boss by mistake. I blush to think of it.

Not my email, but my fault. A colleague asked me to look at her personal statement as she was being made redundant and was applying for a new job. After making a few helpful amendments, I added in bold and capitals at the bottom DON'T EMPLOY ME. I WILL RAZZLE YER HUBBIE and emailed it back, waiting for her to laugh heartily at how funny I was. She did not check it before sending.

A colleague IMed me to say did you mean to send that to the whole group. I literally had a full body sweat while I searched to see what I had said. Luckily it was ok.

PugInTheHouse · 15/01/2021 22:14

@SummerWhisper that is brilliant and awful all in one BlushGrin

Sending an email to my work colleague about my boss calling her a witch then accidentally saving the email in a folder that she had access to.

Emailing a small colleague called Tony and saying Ho Tiny !

Trinidadqueen · 16/01/2021 18:02

'See you in a minge' obviously meant to say 'min short for minute. '
This was to a work client. Blush

Not mine, but probably my fault.

My friend needed an email written to the school about an issue with her dc and ex and pick ups etc.

She asked me to write it for her. Which I did, but I couldn't remember her exes name, I wrote 'Cunt' (rather than just calling and asking of course) throughout, then forwarded it on for her to check over and send on with any amendments.

Of course she didn't read it and forwarded it on to the school Blush she didn't even realise until 2 hours later when she called me.

Someone (person a) meant to send an email to me (person b) but sent it someone else (person c). Due to the nature of our work it ended up in a gossip column that person a had sent such a message to person c. It is about 20 years ago but still makes me laugh (and cringe) now
