A book about 2 teenage girls. One is autistic, the other is a master manipulator.

As an adult, would you read it?

It really doesn't sound like a new idea is the problem, I think.

Personally, I've read a few books like this and I much prefer a positive view of female friendship. I think that would be more interesting and probably more unique. The friendship could still have the same intensity but I would prefer if it was positive rather than vicious. That's my personal preference anyway. I do like the idea of an autistic protagonist written by a person with autism themselves though!

I prefer positive female friendships too but I have little experience of them 😢

I'm sorry to hear that @CardoMondo Flowers It would be really great, though to see an autistic protagonist having a good female friendship in fiction. Maybe you could do some research into intense female friendship which can be positive? Have you read maybe YA books? That might be a good place to start with regards to reading about how friendship play out. I would definitely recommend Holly Bourne and Tanya Byrne if you haven't already read them??

for a great autistic protagonist have you seen The London Eye Mystery?
It is YA fiction, but well done I think (I've only read bits out loud to dd)
