Posting here as no reply on Coronavirus.

I have Covid, with pretty much every symptom going. I have never felt this unwell before. Things wouldn't be as bad if it wasn't for this insufferable cough. It is fucking relentless, day and night. It makes me feel sick, it affects my sleep, and let's just say that Tena Lady will be doing quite well out of me Blush
Please help, as I feel like I can't take much more of this.
What can I do, what can I take?
And is peppermint tea the best thing for nausea (I can't face eating much)?
Thanks in advance.

I am wondering about a secondary infection, OP, like bacterial pneumonia. Adam Rutherford has talked about this on Twitter -- covid wasn't so bad, but his secondary pneumonia was awful.

I would chat to GP about getting assessment for that (asap).
Antibiotics (GP can prescribe) would help.

A cough is there for a reason. It keeps your lungs clear of mucus build up which will cause pneumonia if left. If you are desperate to sleep you could ask for codeine linctus, but dr may not prescribe it

Antibiotics from the doctor was the only thing that helped.

I found "sitting on" cups of hot tea or coffee and taking small sips but mainly breathing the warm vapour helped. Why this way? Well, doing this with a nice cuppa is more pleasant than leaning over a bowl or sitting in the shower!

That and codeine or anhydrous morphine (pholcodeine linctus). Available at Boots (if someone can get for you).

It's an exhausting relentless nightmare. Flowers

First off, I would double check with 111. But I came across thyme-infused honey for coughs years ago, which helped with coughs specifically. It was available as a medicine then, but if you can get hold of some fresh thyme from somewhere there’s an internet recipe at thechamomile.com/honey-thyme-homemade-cough-syrup-recipe/

Sage tea is also supposed to be good with colds generally, and makes a gargle for throats with cider vinegar. I have no idea if it would affect COVID. You have to go easy on that - these herbs do contain powerful substances, they’d be no good as medicines if they didn’t. Don’t drink the tea for more than a week at a time as toxicity builds.

OP please seek medical advice.
