I thought I'd go dry for a few weeks. Easy I thought.
Good LORD.
Couldn't sleep for three nights. Feeling WAY more anxious than usual. Cant dull it with a wee drinkee and feel HORRIFIED that this week has shown me how dependent I am.

Hi everyone, thanks for your comments and encouragement. Yes, the fact that I found it so hard showed me how dependent I am....
But also it has significantly ramped up anxiety issues and finding that hard to deal with. Doing lots of meditations and shit. I'm pressing on because I want to be kind to myself and while I'm not working (thanks lockdown) I can spend time exercising and eating more healthy things too.

Like a few others have said, I don't drink either and havent done for about ten months- was drinking way way to much. I'd say stick with it and give it a try, in a few weeks you'll feel a lot different to how you do now. Have things there to distract you when you need it. It did take me about 3 months for the fog to clear and then about 5.5 months I suddenly had no want to have a drink again ( glad because one drink and I'd be straight back to two bottles of wine a day if I did) and am carrying on that way as feel so much better for it

I don't drink but just wanted to say how hard it must be. I love coffee and chocolate which are very addictive. It's great you are chatting on here. You can do it Smile
