Posting here as no one really replies on other threads sorry guys

Has anyone used the clear and simple cheap tests and have any reviews?

I did one this morning and was a very clear negative but I'm due on my periods today and haven't started.

Me and DH have been TTC for about 8months now. I had my heart set that this time that I'm definitely pregnant. I just felt it or maybe it's in my head not sure lol.

Am I testing too early ?? Or is it worth buying a more expensive test? I just bought the clear&simple ones because I test a lot lol so it's just a lot cheaper.

So wanted to know your guys reviews and advice pleaseeee ??

It's not what you want to hear, but wait a few days and re-test. I'm not familiar with the exact brand, but if it's not a 'first response' type of test then it might be too early to tell.

Clear and simple was my go to for ttc. I got the 2 for 99p (so in plastic cases) rather than the 5 pack of strips as the strips could sometimes give an evap line. I got a bfp at 10dpo so I know not what you want to hear. Just saying they are a good and reliable brand. Good luck I hope you get your bfp soon!

How relyable are these clear and simple midstream tests? Im 2 days late so i used one amd got the faintest of lines.

SmellyOldOwls · 22/02/2022 15:31

I've used them a lot, they're ok but in my opinion they always throw out very faint but combing evap lines.

Momto7 · 24/02/2022 12:12

Yes it was a evap or dye run as next day was negative :( xx

It's too early. I know it's hard but try to focus on other things if possible such as your job or plan a project for the home as this will take your mind away from being too focused on conceiving. Good luck.

In case someone else picks this up… the clear & simple never give great results (whilst they will tell a pregnancy) eg. My test results on OTD at same time are attached - despite a strong result… clear & simple only picked up a little (see bottom test for OTD result).

This has made me feel so much better. These are my clear&simple ones, and my dye stealer from a boots I got yesterday. Been stressing about my lines but seeing others like mine feel ten times better.

clear And simple pregnancy test - a line has appeared but it seems to be closer to the max than I expected. The same thing has happened on 3 tests!
what does this mean is it an evap line?

i am so glad to have come across this as my FR test has a decent line but the clear and simple barely picks up anything. Totally had me spiralling thinking I’m having a chemical (only 4 weeks today but been testing positive for the last 5 days). Never buying a clear and simple again 😩

AbsolutelyCompletelyCrazyMum5 · 25/02/2026 00:13

Totally spiralling myself. Had an early loss in November. Currently 13dpo, been testing positive since 10dpo with good progression on easy@home and FRER. Decided today to do a clear&simple test just to see the line and it was hardly there! To say I panicked is an understatement. Infact I’ve only came across this post because I’m up googling why it was so faint. I didn’t take a picture of the clear&simple as I totally fell out with it when the line was so faint. Here are my other tests. I’m praying to see 2-3 weeks on digital soon as I didn’t get past the 1-2 weeks stage last time with clear blue even at 5 weeks (loss just after)
do you think Clear&simple are just rubbish at getting dark?

This is my FRER 10 dpo to 12 dpo
Clear&simple only just showing positive
