To ask who the hell they are polling

Recent polls seem to send the overwhelming majority of people (in the UK) support lockdowns despite:
-the first two being complete failures
-education ruined
-civil libberties trashed
-religious freedoms tramped on
-economic ruined
-mass unemployment
-huge spike in people killing themselves
-the “save lives” idea blown apart by the fact lockdowns also cost many lives
-women (and men) trapped with their abusers
Aibu to ask who are these people that they are polling?

"It might be an unpopular opinion but we are not stopping people dying. These people would more than likely die anyway. We are just extending the time line over which the deaths occur."

Bloody hell - update yourself on who is dying and what age range. I had someone on my FB recently spouting the "only 377" healthy under 60's had died. Sure - but define healthy. Oh, it is the very few who had no underlying health conditions when they died of Covid. He had extrapolated that to decide that the others would have died anyway... which when you consider that asthma, for example, is an underlying condition, is complete crap.

A quarter of deaths in the week before Christmas were from covid. The number of suicides is not anywhere near that high - it’s not even one of the top 10 causes of death according to the ONS data (up to November).

I'm fed up with reading about how lockdown 1 worked...not for mine and 10s of 1000s of other families it didn't, but then those deaths were just numbers I guess.

Absolutely with you. Any sensible cost/benefit analysis is entirely lacking in government policy and across much of this site. The virtue-signalling tosh about "just one life" and "people are dying" are only said in relation to Covid.

I'm going to ignore all the other crap you put in your OP, but in answer to your questions they are polling anyone who has the YouGov app (and on the app you can then see the results split down into age/sex/politics which will give you a better idea of 'who' is supporting lockdowns).
I answer the daily questions each day which is what the polls in the news refer too, if you download the app you could too.
