To feel guilty for testing positive

I take part in the Zoe app and having reported that I was sneezing and a runny nose they suggested I got tested. I didn’t have to get tested as I have none of the NHS symptoms but thought I should be tested. As I was told that I didn’t need to isolate until I was confirmed positive.

I went yesterday and woke up this morning to a positive test. I now feel so guilty about who I might have infected even though I thought I only had a cold. Be careful.

It really isn’t your fault. I’ve lost count of the times when I’ve seen the line trotted out that if the three main symptoms aren’t there then it can’t be Covid. They really need to update their information, otherwise the spread of the virus wonder slow down.

Dd rang 119 this morning as she also been sneezing and got a snotty nose to find out whether, because she has been in contact with me, she should have a test. They weren’t sure but suggested she should test but dgs, and sil don’t need one. The only problem if she has it is that she is a teacher and was in school Monday and Tuesday although fortunately only with teachers in her bubble.

@Minky37

I know my off tummy and bum wasn’t normal for me. I had my gallbladder out 2 yrs back and it’s all consistently the same pattern now depending on my cycle. It hurt and wasn’t typical for me plus with the other symptoms of feeling a bit bleugh I knew I wasn’t right.

DCs friends parents and adult sibling all tested positive a few days before I felt ill too so yes there is a possibility but I never thought to get tested as I was in isolation because of cases in DCs year group. (I’ve been isolating when DC has because I am able to)

Funnily enough friend didn’t have the usual symptoms either and was sent for a test via the Zoe app too and adult child suffers migraines so put that down to that.
