To sleep down here

I can hear it up there. I was kept awake a lot last night.

Oh God. Is it just me?

Art least you're not waking yourself with your own snoring, as I did last night. Your can't really seek respite in another part of the house when the noise is coming from your own body! Confused Grin

Groovinpeanut · 05/01/2021 04:33

I can't hear any snoring 🤣

IncorrigibleTitmouse · 05/01/2021 05:13

Definitely not just you. We bought a cheaper house further out because I know I can’t live without a spare room with the way DH snores. It is where I’ve just decamped to. I’d be crying with exhaustion otherwise.

Toilenstripes · 05/01/2021 05:19

I can hear my DH snoring next to me and my cat snoring downstairs. There’s no escape.

caringcarer · 05/01/2021 05:47

My dh snores a lot more when he puts on weight or if he drinks more alcohol. I expect he put on a few pounds over Xmas. If so cut back his portion size or sneakily pretend you hurt your back and ask him to walk the dogs like I did.

There is nothing more unattractive than a man who snores so loudly it would give a jackhammer a run for its money. Currently awake as he’s snoring so loudly that even in a different room I can still hear him.

NaughtyButNice · 05/01/2021 07:44

Is it new snoring, due to weight gain / alcohol excess or an ongoing problem? Really loud ongoing snoring can be a sign of sleep apnea. Are there longer than normal pauses in his breathing? Does he feel rested after being asleep or still tired? Sleep apnea can be really serious and is often dismissed for a long period of time as just snoring.

Mine has sleep apnea. Unfortunately we’re in the US and the CPAP is something that isn’t covered by health insurance so will cost thousands. 😭

You may have tried this but I wanted to share that sleeping with a window open really helps us - yes, even in January - for some reason DH doesn't snore if there is fresh air coming in!

Exactly this…apart from we only have a spare room when my son is away at uni. He’s back at the moment so am exhausted all the time. Contemplating sleeping on the sofa but our bedroom is downstairs so would still be able to hear it 😭
