How much time do your 13/14 YO DDs spend out with friends

Obviously pre COVID if you are in a tier 3 or 4.

When I was 13/14 I was out with friends pretty much every day - out with them in the village or at theirs for tea.
My daughter, who is almost 14, seems to have plenty of friends but they don’t seem to meet up to do anything very often (restrictions obviously don’t allow this at the moment but it is something I’ve been pondering when they did). During summer when it was allowed, she probably went out with friends maybe once a week. She seems to spend days mooching around the house instead. She still enjoys family time and doing things with us which is great but I’m sure I didn’t look to my parents for entertainment at 14.
How much time do your similar aged daughters spend with their friends?

Every day if she could - she's 14

After school every day (weather dependant) to the park with friends for a couple of hours.

She really, really misses it, even just chatting to her friends around school.

My year 9 sounds similar to yours OP. She is popular with friends from her current school, from primary and from hobbies but she isn't that fussed about seeing them in real life, but does spend lots of time chatting online. When she does see them, it's often at my suggestion or because I've organised it and she has fun.

I was constantly out with friends every weekend at that age (no friends lived close enough to meet during the week) and organised lots of sleepovers, parties or chances to hang out with friends. I kept my parents at arm's length from it all.

I don't know if it is generational or her personality. I work with older teens and young adults and they (very generally speaking) do seem more attached to home and parents for longer than previous generations.

Year 11, most days for an hour or so. All day on a Saturday

Year 9, loads in the summer, football, swimming, kick around in the park
