What am I missing?

Why can't all staff & pupils wear masks and/or visors?

I've just remembered another issue we have with masks. Some (a lot) are using the same grubby disposable mask for days on end. They are drawing on them, fiddling with them, screwing them up in pockets or the bottom of their bags. I dread to think what germs they are harbouring.

We have posters up about how to use a mask and have given assemblies on it but they don't listen/care.

My son goes to school in Spain, has had to wear a face mask all the time apart from when he has lunch. It doesn't bother him and he is used to it . They have not had one single case in the school so far. They are very strict about social distancing and ventilation. I have been shocked by the pictures of UK schools and I am not surprised that there has been a massive increase in infection rates - the government need to toughen up and put stricter measures in place

I work in a nursery in Spain 4m - 6year olds. All staff have worn face masks since we re opened in November.

The children are not even slightly freaked out by the masks. I am amazed with how well they can respond to facial expressions when they can only see my eyes. We have established a wonderful bond and, considering my role is to teach them a foreign language, I am astounded with how much they can understand without ever seeing my mouth!

Once they reach 6yrs, masks are compulsory.

I do not understand the UK approach of limited mask wearing.
